Our client is the Knowledge Center of the global leader in market research and public opinion specialist, present in 90 markets over the world.

So the importance of getting the exact information from the most reliable source and understanding an industry’s background, competitive environment, challenges and upcoming trends quickly, is crucial for their team to give the best recommendations, at the right time. 

We spoke with Julie Goh, Director of Knowledge Management and Shukran Shaffee, Knowledge Manager, to understand their challenges, expectations when looking for a market intelligence solution and the impact on their work process since starting using Reportlinker.

When asked about the challenges faced by her team of analysts and her needs as a head of Knowledge management, Julie says “my team needed to find information faster and Reportlinker allows them to focus on the right information and not waste time on irrelevant sources.”

Shukran adds “We were struggling with information overload. There are too many sources and too much information out there. We needed a solution that would filter the information for us. “

The solution: a unique search platform

When asked what made Reportlinker solution stand out, he mentions:

He continues “When doing a search on google, we might, for example, get as many as 1000 hits. With Reportlinker, we would probably get less than 200 results and they match and correspond to what we were looking for.”

“Also, some reports are not available on google or it would take me a lot of time to dig and find them but they are available on Reportlinker. And again, I need SOURCES that I can trust, that’s the most important thing to me.”

Julie says that her team enjoys using Reportlinker as “it eliminates the noise and the useless information so we can stay focused on the relevant, interesting information, stats and quotes.”

She recalls the first time using  our Market Intelligence Platform  “The first time I did a search, I was surprised as the first result was exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t need to search more. It was a very pleasant experience.”

Which features help ?

ReportLinker recently added a new type of content, the business news, which allows users to get the latest news on the sector they are doing a research on, and therefore, get additional information to understand the current problematics of the sector

Shukran says “The news filter is the feature I enjoy the most and I use it a lot.”

“I also very much enjoy the “word cloud”. The word cloud showcases the companies or players of an industry in a bigger or smaller size depending on the number of times they are mentioned in the reports, stats and news.”

Reportlinker recently developed new features to enhance our clients’ experience and improve the search capabilities. Before launching the best version of the platform, we allowed our users to participate in a beta testing of the new platform to get their feedback and make sure it responds to their needs and matches their expectations.

The research organisation was one of the participants and Julie shares “ We really appreciated participating in the Beta Testing and giving our feedback when Reportlinker was developing the new features.”
